Have you ever felt a sense of awe when entering a large church or cathedral? Have you ever felt something similar when looking down at your own body? The two experiences might have more in common than you think! Join poet and trans educator Jay Hulme for an adventure in exploring both. Jay will focus on the revelatory understanding of trans and gender-nonconforming bodies as holy spaces through which we can better understand the Divine, as well as how we can use poetry to deepen this understanding. He’ll also discuss how his love of cathedrals has shaped his understanding of his own body and how his queerness has shaped his understanding of the Divine.

This is a 60 minute lecture-based workshop with a time for discussion and questions. The workshop is open to everyone, and will be recorded. We’ll be sending a link to the video out to all ticketholders after the session, so you’ll be able to view the event even if you can’t participate on the day.
