To make these groups as safe as possible, we are not posting the meetup addresses publically. Please fill out the form below to sign up for a Summer Meetup in your area! You will receive an email with the address a couple of days before the event.
Signups for in-person meetups close two days before each event at 2pm PT / 5pm ET.
A few things to know before signing up
Our meetups are specifically for people who identify as transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, as people of transgender experience, or those who are otherwise gender-expansive. If you need to bring a support person (ie. partner, family member, or close friend) for safety/comfort that’s ok, but we want to make sure this is a space that prioritizes trans and gender-expansive people. Please be mindful of who you ask to join and make sure that if they are a cis person, they are fully affirming.
Our meetups are only open to people age 18 and up. It’s not that we don’t want you with us, teens! It’s just that there are much better groups for you over at Beloved Arise, at Affirming Youth Ministries, and at Gender Spectrum. Head on over there and check out the faith programming available!
Our meetups are not a therapy substitute. TMC volunteers are not mental health professionals, and the purpose of these meetups is to build community and provide a space for sharing and support.
By filling out this form you are agreeing to abide by our TMC Community Rules, which you can find and read here. If you have any questions about the rules, feel free to email Micah Melody, TMC’s Community Care Coordinator, at micahmelody@transmissionministry.com.
All community members participate in in-person gatherings at their own risk, and cannot hold TMC liable for negative experiences with other community members while in person.
Confidentiality Notice: TMC Hangouts are semi-confidential. This means we will not share anything said during hangouts with the broader TMC community, or with anyone outside TMC, without your permission. However, TMC leaders or volunteers may share important information with others in leadership in order to best support our community. TMC does not participate in non-consensual active rescue, which means we will not call emergency services unless someone directly asks us to, or we believe there is a credible threat to a third party.
